Essay for UPSC
- Candidates may be required to write essays on multiple topics.
- They will be expected to keep closely to the subject of the essay to arrange their ideas in orderly fashion, and to write concisely.
How is the essay question paper?
- The essay question paper is mainly divided into two parts.
- A total of two essays, choosing one option each from the 4 options given in each part.
- This question paper is of total 250 marks, each essay is of 125 marks.
- The prescribed word limit of each essay is approximately 1000-1200.
