The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) showcased India’s excellence in agricultural and processed foods at the 39th edition of AAHAR 2025.

Key Points:
- APEDA participated in the 39th edition of AAHAR 2025 held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
- AAHAR 2025 was organized by India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO).
- Objectives:
- To showcase the Indian food processing industry on a global platform
- To boost exports
- To advance food safety and innovation
- The expo also highlights the latest innovations in food processing, machinery, and packaging.
- One of the main goals of this expo is that there should be at least one Made-in-India food product on every dining table in the world.
Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA):
- It is an apex body under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
- It functions to promote and facilitate the export of agricultural and processed food products.
- It was established in 1985, when the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority Act, 1985 (APEDA Act, 1985) was passed.
India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO):
- It is a premier trade promotion agency functioning under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.
- This organization organizes trade fairs, exhibitions and other business events in India and internationally.
- It was established on 1 January 1992.
- This organization was formed by the merger of Trade Fair Authority of India (TFAI) and Trade Promotion Council of India (TDA).
