Aero India 2025

Why in the news?

• Aero India 2025 will be held in Bengaluru.
• It is Asia's largest biennial air show and aviation exhibition.
• Its 15th edition will be held this year.
• It will be held from February 10-14 at Air Force Station, Yelahanka.
• The 14th edition was also held at the same venue in the year 2023.
• Organisers: Defence Exhibition Organisation, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence

Theme of Aero India in the year 2025:

• The theme of the 15th Aero India is 'The Runway to a Billion Opportunities'.
• The theme of the 14th edition of Aero India was also the same as the 15th edition.

Events to be held at Aero India in the year 2025:

• A preview event
• An opening ceremony
• Conference of Defence Ministers
• CEO Roundtable
• Manthan Start-up event
• Air show, an exhibition and a trade fair of aerospace companies

Conference of Defence Ministers:

• A conference of Defence Ministers will be organized in it.
• The Defence Minister of India and the Defence Minister of the invited country will participate in it to build strategic partnerships.
• The theme of this conference is- “Bridges - Building Resilience through International Defence and Global Engagement”

Objective of Aero India:

• To provide a platform to the civil and military aviation sectors across the world to showcase their products and build new partnerships.
• To establish India as an important partner on the map of the aviation market.

First edition of Aero India Show:

• The first edition of the Aero India Show was held in the year 1996 at the Yelahanka Air Force Station base.
