India's latest clean energy statistics:
- Total Renewable Energy Capacity:
- By December 2024, India's total renewable energy installed capacity reached 203.18 GW.
- This is 46.3% of the country's total installed power generation capacity.
- The installed capacity of solar power is 92.12 GW, showing a growth of 27.9% over the previous year.
- The installed capacity of wind power is 47.72 GW, an increase of 7.8%.
- The capacity of large hydropower projects is 46.93 GW, while small hydropower projects contribute 5.07 GW.
- The total installed capacity of biomass and biogas power is 11.32 GW.
- In addition, the installed capacity of nuclear power is 8.18 GW.
- This takes the total non-fossil fuel based power generation capacity to 211.36 GW.
- This is almost half of the total installed capacity of the country.
