Union Minister Amit Shah chaired the 32nd meeting of the Central Hindi Committee in New Delhi.
- According to the Central Government, 3 major works have been done in the last 5 years to strengthen Hindi. These include-
- Creation of Hindi Shabd Sindhu Dictionary
- Establishment of Indian Language Section
- Organizing Official Language Conference in different parts of the country

- What is it: The highest committee to give guidelines regarding the promotion and progressive use of Hindi

- Members: Total 21
- These include nine Union Ministers, six Chief Ministers, Vice-Chairman of the Parliamentary Official Language Committee, Secretary of the Official Language Department and three Conveners.
