Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri Amit Shah attended the 56th Foundation Day Parade of Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) held at Takkolam, Tamil Nadu as the Chief Guest.
It has been decided to name the CISF Regional Training Center at Takkolam after Rajaditya Chola, the great warrior of the Chola dynasty.
CISF Foundation Day is celebrated every year on 10 March.
Special parades, felicitation ceremonies and other programs are organized on this day.
Soldiers who have made a significant contribution to the security of the country are honored on this occasion.

It is a major paramilitary force of India.
It is employed to protect the country's industrial units, government establishments and important infrastructure.
