Recently, Prime Minister Modi discussed the 'Create in India' Challenge initiative in his 'Mann Ki Baat' program.

About Create in India Challenge Initiative:

• What is it: 'Create in India Challenge' is an initiative launched to complement the 'Make in India' campaign. It emphasizes the need for Indian manufacturers and entrepreneurs to produce goods, create value through original design, technology and innovation.
• Nodal Ministry: Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
• Launch: 22 August 2024 by the Minister of Information and Broadcasting.
• Objective: To encourage Indian businesses, startups and develop innovative individuals products, technologies and services that are globally competitive.
• Challenge in 25 Areas: This initiative has identified 25 areas under a total of 13 themes to promote talent and creativity.
  

• Participants: Skilled individuals from all 25 sectors can participate in the Challenge.
•  Registration Center: Official website of World Audiovisual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES).

Objectives of Create in India Challenge Initiative

• To spread awareness about the importance of intellectual property rights as well as to protect and promote innovation.
• To develop original designs and creative solutions to suit domestic and international markets.
• To promote employment generation and entrepreneurship.
• To get global recognition for Indian products, innovations and services by promoting quality standards and original ideas.
