The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully test fired Long Range Glide Bomb (LRGB) ‘Gaurav’ from Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter aircraft.
About ‘Gaurav’
Introduction: It is a precision-guided, long-range glide bomb developed to attack surface targets from stand-off distances (beyond enemy air defence range).
Development and Design: Indigenously designed and developed by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) laboratories Research Centre Imarat (RCI), Armament Research and Development Establishment and Integrated Test Range, Chandipur
Partners Involved: Development-cum-production partners include Adani Defence Systems and Technologies, Bharat Forge and various micro, small and medium enterprises
