India became the winner of Champions Trophy

Why in news?

• Recently the Indian men's hockey team won the Men's Asian Hockey Champions Trophy.
  • This is India's 5th Champions Trophy title.
• India defeated China 1-0 in the final.
  • Jugraj Singh scored the only goal for India in the final.
• This was the 8th edition of the Men's Asian Champions Trophy.
• It was held from 8 to 17 September in Hulunbuir City, China
• India, Pakistan, South Korea, China, Malaysia and Japan participated in it.
• India's captain Harmanpreet Singh was selected as the best player of this tournament.
• The Men's Asian Hockey Champions Trophy was organized for the first time in the year 2011.
• It is organized by the Asian Hockey Federation
