Indusfood 2025 inaugurated

Why in the news?

Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Shri Chirag Paswan inaugurated the 8th edition of Indusfood 2025 in Greater Noida.

Key Points:

  • Indusfood is Asia's leading annual food and beverage trade exhibition.
  • It is organised by the Trade Promotion Council of India in collaboration with the Department of Commerce, Government of India.
  • It will be attended by 2,300 exhibitors from over 30 countries.
  • Objectives of Indusfood 2025:
    • To make India a major hub for the global food and beverage industry
    • To realize the concept of ‘farm-to-fork’
    • To establish strong synergies between farmers, technology providers, manufacturers and global markets
    • To promote innovation and business opportunities in the agriculture and food sector
  • Indusfood 2025 will host the prestigious Asia Presidents Forum in India for the first time in partnership with the Indian Culinary Association (IFCA).
    • This landmark event will bring together over 30 presidents of chef associations from across Asia.
    • Two major summits will be held during the show focusing on the food production and agritechnology sectors.

Other events of the Indian Trade Promotion Council:

  • Indusfood Manufacturing (4th Edition):
    • It will focus on food processing, packaging, ingredients and hospitality technology.
  • Indusfood Agritech (1st Edition):
    • It will focus on agriculture technology, fisheries, dairy, and poultry farming technology.
      • Both these events are scheduled on January 9-11, 2025 at Yashobhoomi Dwarka, New Delhi.
      • The main objective of these events is to promote seamless synergy in the ‘farm-to-fork’ value chain.
