Indusfood 2025 inaugurated

Why in the news?

Union Minister for Food Processing Industries Shri Chirag Paswan inaugurated the 8th edition of Indusfood 2025 in Greater Noida.

Key Points:

Indusfood is Asia's leading annual food and beverage trade exhibition.
It is organised by the Trade Promotion Council of India in collaboration with the Department of Commerce, Government of India.
It will be attended by 2,300 exhibitors from over 30 countries.
Objectives of Indusfood 2025:
- To make India a major hub for the global food and beverage industry
- To realize the concept of ‘farm-to-fork’
- To establish strong synergies between farmers, technology providers, manufacturers and global markets
- To promote innovation and business opportunities in the agriculture and food sector
Indusfood 2025 will host the prestigious Asia Presidents Forum in India for the first time in partnership with the Indian Culinary Association (IFCA).
- This landmark event will bring together over 30 presidents of chef associations from across Asia.
- Two major summits will be held during the show focusing on the food production and agritechnology sectors.

Other events of the Indian Trade Promotion Council:

Indusfood Manufacturing (4th Edition):
- It will focus on food processing, packaging, ingredients and hospitality technology.
Indusfood Agritech (1st Edition):
- It will focus on agriculture technology, fisheries, dairy, and poultry farming technology.
  - Both these events are scheduled on January 9-11, 2025 at Yashobhoomi Dwarka, New Delhi.
  - The main objective of these events is to promote seamless synergy in the ‘farm-to-fork’ value chain.
