International Cooperative Alliance’s Global Cooperative Conference 2024

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the International Cooperative Alliance Global Cooperative Conference 2024 on 25 November.
Organised by Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) in collaboration with the International Cooperative Alliance and the Government of India and Indian cooperative institutions Amul and Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited, this global conference will be held from 25 to 30 November.
In the 130-year history of the International Cooperative Alliance, the apex organization of cooperatives at the global level, the ICA Global Cooperative Conference and the International Cooperative Alliance General Assembly are being organized in India for the first time.
Theme of the conference: - "Cooperatives build prosperity for all".
In this conference, the challenges faced by cooperatives around the world in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially in areas and opportunities such as poverty alleviation, gender equality and sustainable economic development will be discussed.
The conference will be attended by the Indian Prime Minister, Bhutan's Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay and Fiji's Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica and about 3,000 delegates from more than 100 countries.
