Docking and un-docking process:
- The PSLV rocket will put the two spacecraft - Spacecraft A(SDX01) and Spacecraft B(SDX02) - into an orbit that will keep them five kilometres apart.
- Later, scientists at ISRO headquarters will try to bring them closer by three metres, after which they will fuse together at an altitude of about 470 kilometres from Earth. This process is called docking.
- After this, the two satellites will be separated, i.e. un-docked.
