Recently India and Cambodia's first joint table top exercise CINBAX was started
The first edition of CINBAX is being held at Foreign Training Node, Pune
This exercise will be conducted from 1 to 8 December 2024.
CINBAX:
It is a planning exercise aimed at conducting war exercises of joint counter-terrorism (CT) operations under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter.
The exercise will focus on discussions related to the establishment of a joint training task force for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance besides planning operations in urban environments.
It will conduct war exercises on various contingencies and will also discuss increasing the number of forces in sub-conventional operations.
Information operations, cyber warfare, hybrid warfare, logistics and casualty management etc. will also be discussed in this exercise.
The exercise will be conducted in three phases.
Phase-I will be about preparation and orientation of participants for CT operations during UN peacekeeping missions.
Phase-II will involve conducting table top exercises.
Phase-III will involve finalizing and summarizing plans.
This exercise will also showcase Indian weapons and equipment which will promote ‘self-reliance’ and indigenous capabilities in defense production.
It will also enhance the joint operational efficiency of both the armies in peacekeeping operations.
