Why in News?

• Nadi Utsav 2024 is being organized at Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, New Delhi.
• It will be held from 19 to 21 September 2024.
• It aims to celebrate the importance of India's rivers.
• This is the 5th edition of River Festival.
• Theme- 'Rivers in Reverse: Making of a Lifeline'
• It focuses on the elements of culture in and around the river.
• Nadi Utsav was started in the year 2018
• It increases awareness among people about rivers

Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts:

• Established – Year 1987
• It functions as an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Culture.
• It acts as a research and dissemination centre in the field of arts.
• It aims to become a leading reference centre for oral and visual art forms of India.
