  • The landing site was named 'Shiva Shakti' point (Station Shiva Shakti).
  • In memory of this day, August 23 was declared "National Space Day".
  • The first National Space Day will be celebrated on August 23, 2024.
  • Its theme is - “Touching lives while touching the moon - India's space saga”.
