Recently, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi approved the Subhadra Yojana.
Subhadra Yojana
The scheme aims to empower more than 1 crore women.
Under this, women will be paid a total of Rs 10,000 per year in two installments of Rs 5000 each.
Women aged between 21 and 60 years will be eligible for this scheme.
Financially strong, government job holders, income tax payers and people receiving assistance of Rs 1,500 or more monthly or Rs 18,000 or more under any government scheme will not be eligible to receive Subhadra assistance.
The eligible female beneficiary will get a total of Rs 50,000 in five years.
Beneficiaries will also be issued a Subhadra debit card.
Under the scheme, 100 beneficiaries with maximum digital transactions will also be identified in each Gram Panchayat and Urban Local Body.
They will be given Rs 500 as additional incentive.
