Five major All India Surveys are being conducted by the Labour Bureau. For these, technical support will be provided by the Public Sector Undertaking 'Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited'. It is known that the Bureau of Labour performs the task of compilation, collection, analysis and dissemination of labor statistics.
These five surveys are-
All-India Survey of Migrant Workers- To estimate the number of workers, migration related to employment, working and living conditions and impact of Covid-19 on their work area will be studied.
All-India Quarterly Establishment Based Employment Survey- Its objective is to measure the relative change in employment status in successive quarters for groups engaged in non-agricultural sector. These changes will cover the eight core sectors of the economy.
All-India Survey on Domestic Workers- This will compute the average number of domestic workers and the households employing them and collect information on incidence of households with workers.
All-India Survey on Employment Generation in Transport Sector- To estimate for employment generated in the transportation sector in the country.
All-India Survey of Employment Generation by Professionals- Its objective is to estimate the total number of professionals and collect data related to employment generation by them.
