National Commission for Women has launched Anti-Human Trafficking Cell. Its main objective is to increase awareness and capacity building among the officers involved in the enforcement of the Anti-Human Trafficking Act.
Under this, gender sensitization training and workshops will be organized for police officers and prosecutors at the regional, state, and district levels to combat human trafficking.
This cell will improve the monitoring mechanism and encourage the government agencies regarding the measures being adopted for the prevention of human trafficking and rehabilitation of victims.
It will also organize capacity-building programs for those rescued from human trafficking by providing need-based training for better life and rehabilitation.
