Barlang Yatra is an annual traditional festival celebrated by the Kutia Kondh tribe of Odisha.
During this festival the women of the community worship the seeds of paddy, pulses, millets, vegetables etc. and exchange them through songs and dances.
The festival begins with women farmers carrying earthen pots filled with indigenous seeds, roots and herbs suited to the agro-climatic conditions of the region.
This yatra is being organized on a large scale jointly by 'Nirman' platform established to promote millets and Millet Network of India (MINI) to increase awareness regarding millets.
