Bibhuti Bhushan Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Gangsara village on the banks of Ichhamati river in North 24 Pargana district of West Bengal.
Established in the year 1980, this sanctuary was earlier known as Parmadan Van. In the year 1995, this sanctuary was named after the famous Bengali writer Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyaya.
The Parmadan forest located in this sanctuary is a major destination for migratory birds besides providing a safe haven for about 300 deer.
Recently 90 spotted deer from Bibhutibhushan Wildlife Sanctuary have been brought to Sundarbans Tiger Reserve.
