The Changathi Project, run by the Kerala Literacy Mission, addresses the exclusion faced by migrant workers in Kerala by enabling them to understand the socio-cultural aspects of the state.
The project specifically covers topics such as cleanliness, health, value’s and worker’s rights.
Kolajhi Panchayat of Thrissur district was selected for the Changathi project launched in the year 2019. Under this, classes have been arranged in the shelters of the workers after their working hours.
Recently, it conducted Changathi literacy examination aimed at teaching migrant workers to read and write Malayalam and Hindi.
