'Corner-shot weapon system' is a special purpose modern weapon. It has been developed and designed by the Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE), Pune, run by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). It was first invented by the Israeli Defence Forces.
It is designed for urban areas, especially the areas around houses. Through this, they can be attacked with standing in any corner and without coming in front of the enemy, because the front parts of this weapon system can be rotated in any direction. Also, with the help of the camera in the display, the target can be seen easily.
It was prepared in March 2019, since then it has been approved by various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to counter stone pelters and terrorists. At present it is in the final stages of the process of induction into the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
