- It involves publicly disclosing a person's personal information without his or her consent.
- Through this information it can be found out that –
- Who the particular person really is
- Where does he live
- How to contact him; etc.
- There is no formal law against doxxing in India.
- However it is a punishable offense under Section 354 (D), 509 of the IPC and Section 67 of the IT Act.
