Hakku Patra

It is a legal document that shows an individual's rightful inheritance of a property.
It is issued to disadvantaged sections including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, urban slum dwellers, disabled and other marginalized populations.
The land on which the Hakku Patra is issued is usually government owned and certain conditions are attached to it.
Recently the Prime Minister distributed Hakku Patras to the beneficiaries of the Banjara (a nomadic Scheduled Caste group) community in Kalaburagi district of Karnataka.
