Immigration Visa Foreigner Registration Tracking (IVFRT) Scheme
The ‘Immigration Visa Foreigners Registration Tracking (IVFRT) Scheme’ seeks to modernize and upgrade functions related to immigration, visa issuance, registration of foreigners and monitoring their activities in the country.
The main objective of this scheme is to provide a secure and integrated service provider framework and convenience to legitimate passengers while strengthening national security.
It has been included as Mission Mode Projects of Ministry of Home Affairs under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP).
Recently, the Government of India has approved the continuation of this IVFRT scheme for the period from 1st April, 2021 to 31st March, 2026 (5 years) with a financial outlay of Rs. 1,364.88 crores.
