  • The country's largest survey ship 'INS Sandhayak' joins the Indian Navy.
  • It will conduct hydrographic surveys of ports, navigation channels, routes, coastal areas and deep seas.
  • This is the first of four large survey vessels under construction at M/s Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers, Kolkata.

    • Deep water multibeam echo-sounders
    • Underwater vehicles
    • Remotely operated vehicles
