Lambadi Dance

  • Lambadi is an ancient folk dance performed by the Banjara tribe of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
  • It is mainly a mixture of the cultures of Rajasthan and Telangana. This dance includes scenes related to harvesting, planting and sowing.
  • It is mainly performed by women to seek blessings from God for a good harvest.
  • Recently, this dance was presented by folk artists in the National Tribal Festival held in Raipur.
