Madhav National Park is located in Shivpuri of Madhya Pradesh which is a part of upper Vindhyan hills.
It was the hunting ground of the Mughal emperors and the Maharaja of Gwalior.It got the status of a national park in the year 1958.
The park represents a diverse ecosystem consisting of wetlands, forests and grasslands.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia have released two tigers in the enclosures built in Balarpur range of Madhav National Park.
