Madhav National Park

  • Madhav National Park is located in Shivpuri of Madhya Pradesh which is a part of upper Vindhyan hills.
  • It was the hunting ground of the Mughal emperors and the Maharaja of Gwalior.It got the status of a national park in the year 1958.
  • The park represents a diverse ecosystem consisting of wetlands, forests and grasslands.
  • Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia have released two tigers in the enclosures built in Balarpur range of Madhav National Park.
