Lake Maggiore, situated on the border of Italy and Switzerland, is the second largest lake of Italy.
This lake is surrounded by the Alps Mountains and the Lombardian plain of Italy in the north. Its main tributaries are the Ticino, Maggia, Tosse and Tresa.
The famous Borromean Islands are located at some distance from its west coast which is made up of three main islands Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori.
Recently, 4 people died after a boat capsized in this lake, which is said to be related to Israeli and Italian intelligence.
