  • It has been discovered in Digha on the West Bengal coast and Udaipur on the Odisha coast.
  • This new species has been named after President Draupadi Murmu.
  • This is the second species of head-shield sea slug found in India.
    • First, Melanochlamys benghalensis
  • it features:
    • It is a small invertebrate and hermaphroditic animal.
    • There is a shell on its body.
    • There is a ruby red spot on its back side.
