Military exercise 'Shakti'

  • It is a biennial joint military exercise between the Indian and French armies.
  • It will be organized in Meghalaya from 13 to 26 May 2024.
  • This is the 7th edition of this military exercise which started in the year 2011.
  • Its sixth edition was held in France in the year 2021.
  • Its aim:
    • To develop the capability of armies for war like situation.
    • To enhance cooperation and interoperability between the two armies.
    • Sharing their combat experience in counter terrorist operations
