Mock meat is a term used for alternative meat substitutes. It is made from plant-based proteins that have been processed for a meat-like feel, texture, and taste.
It uses vegetable substitutes like wheat protein, soy protein, pea protein or jackfruit.
This is different from laboratory-produced meat, which is made using animal cells collected from animals.
It attracts meat eaters to switch to eco-friendly alternatives. At present, its demand has seen an increase in the whole world including India.
