'Anubhav Mantpa' is often called the world's first parliament also . The new 'Anubhav Mantapa' is being built on the basis of Kalyana-Chalukya architectural style.
Basaveshwara was a 12th century poet, philosopher and social reformer. He worked tirelessly to end caste and religious discrimination. He is also considered the founder of the Lingayat sect.
The philosophy propounded by Basaveshwara was based on the principles of arivu (true knowledge), achar (right conduct), and anubhav (divine experience), which brought about social, religious and economic reforms at that time.
