Due to global warming, the warm water of the oceans is the main reason for the melting of glaciers.
The global ocean water level will rise by about 24 feet (7.4 m) if all glaciers in Greenland melt.
Greenland's glaciers are currently melting six or seven times faster than they were 25 years ago.
The upper surface of the oceans in Greenland is extremely cold, as it receives water from Arctic glaciers. Its lower surface is hot. So the glaciers at the bottom are melting four to five times faster.
