  • On 13 April 1984, the Indian Army established complete control over the Siachen Glacier.
  • The location of Indian Army deployment in Siachen is known as the Actual Ground Position Line.
    • It separates the areas controlled by India and Pakistan to the north from NJ9842, the northernmost point of the 1972 Line of Control.
