Microsoft has started Project Ellora (Enabling Low Resource Languages) to ensure online availability of rare Indian languages.
Under this project researchers are creating digital resources of rare languages.
Its purpose is to preserve a language for future generations so that users of these languages can participate in the digital world.
Under this, initial efforts are being made by the researchers to preserve the Munderi language. Munderi language is spoken by the Munda tribe living in Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal.
