Rising and Accelerating MSME Performanc: RAMP is a World Bank assisted central sector scheme. Through this, efforts are being made to improve the performance of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and accelerate its pace.
Its main objective is to provide MSME access to market and loans, to improve the accessibility of funds, strengthen various institutions and governance at the centre and states, improve centre-state relations and partnerships, address issues related to delayed payment of money and environment friendly products and processes.
By this, the existing MSMEs especially in the context of competition, the general and COVID-19 related challenges of the region will be addressed by increasing the effectiveness of the schemes. Also, the program will try to focus on the inadequately addressed issues like capacity building, guidance and support, skill development, quality enhancement, technology up-gradation, digitization etc.
Recently the Union Cabinet has approved this scheme, which will start in the financial year 2022-23.
