Sagara-Misawa is a traditional festival celebrated by the Tiwa tribe of Assam and Meghalaya to mark the arrival of the harvest season.
During this festival, the village priest performs a ritual called mindai lekheva at his residence in the presence of the elders and youth people of the village.
The rituals are performed by the youth of the Tiwa tribe wearing traditional Sakrashta caps in this festival.
The Tiwa’s prepare their fields for the next crop after worshiping nature during this spring festival.
