Special session of Parliament

Apart from the three normal sessions of the Parliament, a special session of the Parliament can also be called if needed.
Special sessions held so far-
- 14-15 August 1947- First session with independence
- 14-15 August 1972- On the Silver Jubilee of Independence
- 09 August 1992 - On the 50th anniversary of the Quit India Movement
- August 1997 - To celebrate the 50th anniversary of independence
- June 30, 2017 – To implement GST
- 18 to 22 September- being called on the theme of one country one election
