The first Sylhet-Silchar Festival was organized in the Barak Valley of Assam to celebrate the close cultural ties between India and Bangladesh.
The objective of the festival is to bring people together to deliberate on the twin cities and shared cultural heritage. It showcased tribal culture, cuisine, literature, arts and crafts.
It provides a platform for multi-disciplinary business opportunities in sectors such as healthcare, tourism, education and digital infrastructure.
It was organized by ‘India Foundation’ in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Culture and Bangladesh Foundation for Regional Studies.
