The ‘TEJAS (Training for Emirates Jobs And Skills) Skilling Project' was launched at the Dubai Expo in UAE under the 'Skill India International Project'. It is an initiative to train Indians living in abroad.
Its objective is to provide skill training and certification to the Indian workforce/workers based in UAE as per market requirements and to provide them employment in abroad.
Under this, 10,000 Indian work force will be created in UAE during the initial phase of implementation. The project focuses on skilling the Indian population in abroad. Thus, through this project, the services of a wide and skilled workforce from India will be available to the world.
This will enable Indian youth to get work according to their capacity, which will reduce unemployment, as well as increase their contribution to the economic development of the country.
