Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has launched the 'City Innovation Exchange' platform. This platform will provide eco-system to connect innovators with cities at national level to create innovative solutions to the growing challenges of cities.
Based on the philosophy of 'free innovation', this platform will bring together civic organizations, academies, businesses and government to co-create urban India in a transparent and sustainable manner.
It will facilitate the discovery, design and validation of solutions through a robust, transparent and user-centric process. Also, it will reduce barriers between innovators and cities to search for appropriate solutions.
Currently, more than 215 solutions are available on this platform to tackle about 150 challenges related to more than 400 start-ups of 100 smart cities.
