United Nations Forum on Forests

• In this, India highlighted the country's progress in sustainable forest management.
 There has been a continuous increase in the forest area of the country in the last 15 years.
 Ranked third in the world in average annual forest area growth between 2010 and 2020.
• The United Nations Forum on Forests was established in the year 2000.
 It was established by the United Nations Economic and Social Council.
 All the member countries of the United Nations are included in it.
 Its objective is to promote the management and conservation of forests.
