World Population Prospects-2024 Report: UN

According to the report the world population is expected to continue to grow over the next 50-60 years.
- It will reach 8.2 billion in the year 2024.
- It will be around 10.3 billion in the 2080s.
- After this, decrease is expected.
- It will remain 10.2 billion by the end of the century.
India's population will be 1.7 billion in the early 2060s.
- After this, it will decrease by 12 percent.
- India will remain the most populous country in the world this century.
