This report was released by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
This report is released every 4 years.
Trafficking was documented in 162 countries and territories during 2015-2021.
- It contains information about illegal trade of about 4,000 plants and animals.
According to the report:
- Rhinoceros and pangolin were the most affected animal species.
- Rhino horn recorded the highest share in illegal market share.
- Cedar and Sapindales were the most affected plant species.
- The most commonly confiscated species groups include coral, crocodile and elephant.
