Year of Technology Absorption

  • Indian Army declared the year 2024 as the ‘Year of Technology Absorption’.
  • Absorption in military parlance means the acquisition, adaptation and integration of technologies into existing structures.
  • Absorption will occur primarily in the context of disruptive technology; Which includes:
    • Artificial intelligence, drones, sensors, robotics, hypersonic weapon systems etc.
  •  The year 2023 was declared the “Year of Change” for the Army.
