Yellow Weaver Bird, is a species of weaver bird. It is mainly found in Terai plains of Uttrakhand and Uttar Pradesh. These birds live in open areas having rare trees and prefer wet areas.

Their population is less than 500 in India. Their habitat have been disturbed because of agriculture and development works, which is the main reason of their declining population.

The Uttar Pradesh government has planned to start a program for their conservation and breeding in 'Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary'.
